Coming Soon: TiE South Coast M2M Panel Discussion
On June 26, 2012, TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs), will be hosting a panel discussion about M2M applications and the technology’s future. One of our own, Magda Remillard, Director of Business Development at FieldLogix will be one of the panel moderators.
The TiE panel discussion will be about the use of Machine-To-Machine (or M2M) / Internet-Of-Things (IOT) / Smart Device Communications (SDC) Systems for use across many verticals/industry segments. Whether for tracking fleets of cars to ensure timely delivery, managing electricity through deployment of smart grid, building smart homes that know when to turn the lights on, or monitoring patients’ bio signs without the need to stay in the hospital, M2M is the underlying technology framework that makes all these possible.
The upcoming discussion on M2M approaches will focus on the communications methodology/technology/systems that collect status and event data generated from billions of these various connected devices. As these technologies mature, it is becoming critical to address what happens to the data that is generated in terms of real-time processing, correlation with data from disparate silos in the cloud, and integration into back-end systems to help generate truly useful information and determine the best course of action to reduce costs, increase revenues and ultimately best serve the consumer. TiE’s expert panel consists of vendors and service providers, with rich background in wireless and wired systems, service platforms, security and cloud-based solutions.
Join the TiE hosted M2M discussion on June 26, 2012, at the La Jolla Woman’s Club, located at 715 Silverado Street in La Jolla, California, from 6 – 9 PM. For more information about this panel discussion, TiE, or TiE membership benefits, please visit them online at https://southcoast.tie.org.
