3G Sunset Upgrade Options
We recently provided you with a list of GPS tracking devices that are scheduled to go off line when the wireless carrier sunsets their 3G wireless network.
These are the scheduled sunset dates for the 3G wireless network:
T-Mobile/Sprint – March 31, 2022
AT&T – June 30, 2022
Verizon – October 31, 2022
Your impacted devices are on one of the above networks.
These are your upgrade options
Option A: “Plug & Play” Trackers
The “plug & play” devices are designed to plug into your vehicle’s OBDII port and capture vehicle diagnostics data. We can also provide a Y-harness to enable you to hide the device behind the vehicle’s dashboard so it is completely hidden.

Option B: Refurbished Standard GenX Trackers
We have a limited supply of refurbished GenX tracking devices. These devices can be provided to you at no cost, with a nominal shipping fee. These devices can be plugged into the existing wiring harness used by the tracking devices that are currently installed in your vehicles. They will have the same functionality as your existing units and will carry a one year warranty.
You can easily replace the existing trackers yourself by unplugging the old device and plugging in the new device. If you require a professional installer to perform the replacement, the cost is $129 per vehicle.
Please act quickly if you want refurbished devices because we only have a limited supply and we are providing them on a first come, first served basis.
Option C: Hard Wired Trackers
You can choose a traditional hard-wired tracking device if you have heavy duty vehicles that don’t have an OBD-II port. The device will cost $79.95 per unit. If you require a professional installer, the installation cost is $129 per unit.
