We are excited to announce several new enhancements to FieldLogix for our August release. This release includes a significant new feature, enhancements to existing features, user experience improvements, and bug fixes.
Upcoming Capabilities
We are currently in the process of fully integrating the dash camera solution into the FieldLogix portal and expect to have this functionality completed by the end of Q4. Included in this next release is the ability to pull the odometer from the vehicles’ engine computers (for 2019 or newer vehicles) and synching that with your virtual odometer. We are also working on improving our driver scorecard feature and sending drivers their scores and ranking. Other planned improvements during 2023 include routing and dispatching enhancements, more integrations, and a driver safety training program.
Major Releases
Dash Cameras
We now offer dash cameras. The dash cameras support in-cab distracted driver monitoring, unsafe driving monitoring, as well as live streaming. Dash cameras provide you with evidence to defend yourself from fraudulent motorist claims. They also help you coach your drivers to avoid accidents. You can learn more about our dash cameras and take a virtual video tour of their capabilities here.
Artificial Intelligence
We leverage A.I. to predict the likelihood that your drivers would be involved in an accident based on unsafe driving activity and weather forecasts. We predict the likelihood that your drivers would be involved in a crash during the next 3 days. You can use this to coach or sideline your riskiest drivers to avoid a costly accident. This feature is available in our Crash Risk report.
DTC Alert Improvements
We’ve added a number of improvements to our diagnostic trouble code alerts. The Diagnostic Codes report now displays the description of the codes rather than linking you to a 3rd party website. You can also schedule the DTC report to be emailed to you automatically in the Report Scheduling section.
Device Management
You now have the ability to create vehicles and assign the tracking units to them without having to submit a support ticket. You can also transfer GPS tracking devices between vehicles. Users with administrative access can simply go to manage fleet, edit a vehicle and select the device to assign from the open devices dropdown. The history & settings for the old device will remain with the vehicle once the device is transferred.
Vehicle Inspections
We give your drivers the ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure that your vehicles are in proper operating condition. Users can view reports on the website for all vehicle inspections and review the pictures taken as well as the drivers’ notes. You can learn more about this feature here.
Landmark Notifications
Users now have the ability to set alert notifications for landmarks. These notifications can alert you if a vehicle enters, parks inside, idles inside, or exits a landmark. You can even set the notifications to stop after a certain number of days after the landmark’s creation.
Scheduled Reports
We added the following reports to the list of reports that can be automatically emailed to you on a nightly or weekly basis: the Driver Scorecard report, the Sustainability report, the Diagnostic Trouble Code report, and the aggressive driving report. This helps you stay on top of critical driver safety and sustainability issues.
Unlock Users
Administrative users now have the ability to unlock users who have been locked out of the system after 3 unsuccessful login attempts. This saves you from having to submit a support ticket to unlock your users. Simply go to Manage Users and select Unlock to grant your users access to the system.
Device Power Indicators
We added new icons to the data view and map view pages to identify devices that are currently disconnected from the vehicle’s power or may be losing their battery’s charge soon. This gives you an easier way to identify devices that are not updating due to a power interruption and any asset trackers that may lose their battery’s charge soon.
Notifications Enhancements
You can now setup aggressive driving notifications to alert you instantly when your vehicles encounter hard braking, rapid acceleration, and hard turning events. You can also setup impact notifications to alert specific users when your vehicles are involved in an impact event. To set the notifications, go to Settings > Manage Notifications.
