BMW’s i3 Electric Fleet Vehicle is UK Car of the Year

bmw i3More than 100 cars were up for the honor of being the very first UK Car of the Year. The judging panel was comprised of 27 journalists from publications like Top Gear Magazine, The Sunday Times, Fleet World, and Auto Express.

The first model of this luxury fleet vehicle has also been named Supermini of the Year and one judge called the i3 “a bold and brave take on electrification, and reveals a fresh design language that is purely bmw.”

The i3 will have an electric-only range of 80-100 miles and is expected to hit U.S. showrooms in May. According to BMW, the new i3 will be priced comparably to the regular 3 series vehicle.
