A mom knew where and what was happening to her 15-year-old daughter when she was kidnapped. Her daughter was walking in their neighborhood and was suddenly threatened by a stranger to get in the car or face injury, a GPS tracking device saved her life.
Right away the mom received an alert via email and SMS text from the GPS tracking company, AngelSense, she stated: “I entered my AngelSense app in Runner mode which shows her route. She was at Lakes of Springfield Park. I quickly got in my car and drove there in an attempt to find her.”
With a Listen-in feature the mom said , “I could hear a struggle. I realized later that I actually heard the sexual assault in progress.” When the attacker saw the device he figured out he was being monitored, then stopped and changed plans to drop the 15-year-old back to her neighborhood. Seconds later her mom found her leaving the suspect’s vehicle.
Luckily, the Rowlett police obtained important information from the GPS tracking device including videos of the vehicle, route, and a timeline. Without this GPS tracking device the mom would have thought her daughter was still strolling through the neighborhood.
