Wüf isn’t just another doggy GPS tracker, it, in theory, aims to improve the relationship between dogs and their owners. Trackers and sensors in the collar keep tabs on the dog’s sounds, movements, and activities while at home alone. Pet owners can speak to their dogs through the speaker and also make the collar vibrate to get the pooches attention.
Here’s where the collar gets interesting, it also keeps tabs on the owner. It monitors how pet owners speak to their animals, the types of walks the pair go on, even what the playtime activity of choice is. The goal is to build a picture of the pet-owner relationship and then provide suggestions to improve doggy behavior, as well as ideas for playtime and bonding.
It syncs to pet owners’ phones over Bluetooth or through a network connection and is available for pre-order now through Kickstarter starting at $99.
