The foldable, electric Gi-Bike, created by a couple New Yorkers, hopes to provide a new option for convenient, inexpensive, and green public transportation.
The list of features is expansive, including a one-second folding time, electrical assistance to help riders up hills, the capacity to go 40 miles before recharging, and a battery that also charges your cellphone. Also included is a GPS tracking system that automatically locks the bike when it’s outside of a specified range.
Gi-Bikes will be available on Kickstarter for $2,995 with prices ultimately rising to $3,390.
