San Diego-based fleet management company, Omnitracs, is relocating its headquarters to Dallas. The company announced this week is will create 450 new jobs and invest $10 million in Dallas, TX. The company will move early 2015, but will keep locations in Baltimore and San Diego.
Active Network, another San Diego-based company, announced plans earlier this month to move to Dallas as well where it will generate 1,000 jobs and invest $13 million. Last year, Active Network and Omnitracs were bought by a private equity firm based in Austin along with Websense, another San Diego-based company. Websense will move headquarters to Austin, investing $9.9 million and creating 445 jobs.
Omnitracs CEO, John Graham, said in a statement about the move, “Our new headquarters in downtown Dallas will situate us much closer to many of our fleet customers and provides convenient access by air to virtually all of our clients.”
The fleet management company currently serves more than 3,000 customers worldwide.
