Dash cameras have been used widely by law enforcement throughout the United States. They have been used as indisputable evidence during criminal trials and have played a large part in winning convictions. They have also been used to add an additional layer of accountability to law enforcement for the citizens in the jurisdictions in which they operate.
Unfortunately, commercial vehicles are one of the biggest targets for thieves as they are often left unattended for extended periods of time. Many times the thieves would steal the vehicles at night or during long weekends. By the time the fleet owner discovers that the vehicle is stolen, the cargo is often removed and the thieves are long-gone. Fortunately in this case, the vehicle was spotted and recovered by law enforcement shortly after it was stolen.
